Was born in the 1960s and got to hear the Beatles song “A hard day’s night” played by a teacher on his guitar in early childhood days on his first ski course. Totally thrilled by this incredible sound his wish for the next Christmas was a Beatles tape. His fascination for this music remained to this day, although over the years, of course, many other musical influences have been added, such as Rolling Stones, Oasis, Bush,...

He learned to play the guitar in school, but in his opinion more bad than right. Years later, when the Frank Yonko Band was looking for a bass player, his brother in law - who knew Heinz was musically talented - came over with a bass guitar at Christmas and told him to try to play. After playing a few notes Wolfgang was totally convinced and so he joined the band, although he never felt really comfortable with the instrument. A few years later - after a short illness-related break - he changed the instrument to play the second guitar and from then on he felt he was doing right.
